Mr. Mandell is a former federal and state prosecutor. He focuses on litigation involving intellectual property, technology, entertainment, white collar defense, and insurance fraud.
Before entering private practice, Mr. Mandell prosecuted major felony offenses at the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Northern District of California, in the heart of Silicon Valley, and served as a state prosecutor in Lake County, Illinois. He has first-chaired numerous bench and jury trials throughout his career.
Mr. Mandell has significant experience handling litigation involving the First Amendment, right of publicity issues, trade secret misappropriation, copyright infringement, trademark infringement, unfair competition, false advertising, and complex contractual disputes. In addition, he regularly represents clients in matters involving antitrust, price fixing, fraud, the Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organization (RICO) Act, internal investigations, and data security and privacy.
A graduate of the University of Michigan Law School (J.D.) and the University of Wisconsin – Madison (B.S.), he is admitted to practice law in California and Illinois.
