Charles Kurmay, founder and principal attorney of the Law Offices of Charles L. Kurmay, has nearly two decades of legal experience. He is focused on providing all of his clients with thoughtful and personalized estate planning services.
Jamie Ottaviano has been with the Law Offices of Charles L. Kurmay since 2010. She is admitted to practice in Connecticut and handles primarily estate planning, estate administration, and litigation.
An attorney since 1969, serving in two Probate Court positions at the same time, and the father of Attorney Charles Kurmay, Judge F. Paul Kurmay (retired) is of counsel to our firm. Born and raised in Stratford, Connecticut, Hon. Kurmay is a graduate of the University of Virginia, as well as Georgetown Law Center. He was elected Probate Judge in Stratford in 1978 and served in that Court while also working as Probate Court Administrator from 1995 to 2002.
Of counsel Attorney Ricardo Franco has been practicing law since 1996 with admissions to the bars of Spain and Brazil. He is a member of the List of Counsel for the International Criminal Court.
Attorney Philip Maddalena is an associate with the Law Offices of Charles Kurmay. He is a graduate of Quinnipiac University with a Bachelor of Arts in psychology. Building on that background, Attorney Maddalena went on to earn his Juris Doctorate from Quinnipiac University School of Law with a concentration in Criminal Law and Advocacy. He is admitted to both Connecticut state and federal court.
