Ruben E. Socarras, Esq., a founding member of Boca Injury Law, a division of the AV Rated law firm Chane Socarras, PLLC, focuses his practice in the areas of civil litigation, including cases involving personal and catastrophic injury, insurance and property damages, and wrongful death law. As an experienced litigator and trial attorney, Ruben often represents individuals and businesses in a variety of cases before state and federal courts. Ruben also represents his clients before arbitration panels and mediation, among other types of alternative dispute resolution proceedings. He regularly represents clients throughout the U.S. and from a wide variety of industries. As a result, Ruben regularly handles complex disputes and litigation, specifically advising clients on how to avoid litigation as well as managing it once it occurs. In addition to his personal injury practice, Ruben is a Florida Supreme Court Qualified Arbitrator and Florida Supreme Court Certified Circuit Civil Mediator, allowing him to serve as a neutral to resolve various types of circuit civil cases and litigation matters.
Ruben received his undergraduate degree from the University of Florida in 2000, and law degree from the Stetson University College of Law in 2003. He is a member of the Florida Bar, South Palm Beach County Bar Association, and Broward County Bar Association. He is also admitted to practice in the United States District Court for the Southern and Middle Districts of Florida, United States Bankruptcy Court in the Southern District of Florida, as well as the United States Court of Appeals for the 11th Circuit.

A native of South Florida, Ruben co-founded and serves on the board of directors of a non-profit organization benefiting children in the local community stricken with serious or terminal illnesses. Jonathan is an AV Rated civil trial attorney whose practice is dedicated to representing a wide range of clients in disputes before state and federal courts as well as in alternative dispute forums. Jonathan left a large, international law firm so that he could provide personal attention and the highest quality of legal services to his clients. In his practice, Jonathan represents individuals in civil litigation and construction litigation. In addition to his litigation practice, Jonathan is both a Florida Supreme Court Certified Circuit Civil Mediator and a Florida Supreme Court Qualified Arbitrator, where is serves as a neutral in alternative dispute resolution proceedings.
Prior to establishing his own firm, Jonathan was a shareholder at the international law firm Greenberg Traurig, PA, where for 15 years he represented clients in a wide variety of complex litigation matters. Prior to that Jonathan also served as an Assistant State Attorney prosecuting criminal cases in the 12th Judicial Circuit of Florida. His professionalism and experience has earned him an AV Rating from Martindale-Hubbell and “Top Lawyer” status from the South Florida Legal Guide. Jonathan has also been selected to the Florida Super Lawyers list in 2018, 2019, 2020, and 2021, an exclusive list of top-rated attorneys in specific practice areas who are chosen after thorough evaluation of numerous criteria. Jonathan devotes a significant amount of time to his community and charitable activities. In 2016, Jonathan’s passion for public service led him to run for United States Congress to represent Florida’s 18th Congressional District, which includes Palm Beach, Martin and St. Lucie Counties. Organizations that endorsed Jonathan included the Florida AFL-CIO, Service Employees International Union (SEIU), International Brotherhood of Teamsters, Florida Alliance for Retired Americans, National Organization for Women, Progressive Change Campaign Committee, Palm Beach County Clean Water Defenders, Progressive Democratic Caucus of Florida and Democracy for America (DFA). He continues to bring the same energy that he brought to his race for Congress to fighting for his clients.
Additionally, Jonathan is the immediate past President of the Board of Trustees of Temple Judea in Palm Beach Gardens and is active in the Jewish Federation of Palm Beach County. He has also volunteered his time providing pro bono legal representation to Holocaust ghetto survivors seeking reparations from the German government and to children and young adults aging out of the Palm Beach County foster care system.

Jafar M. Abuyounis, is a senior associate attorney at Boca Injury Law. As an experienced litigator that is licensed in both Florida and California, Jafar’s practice consists of handling a wide variety of civil litigation matters, including personal injury, insurance and wrongful death law.
Prior to joining CSLaw, Jafar primarily handled civil and insurance litigation defense for a large national law firm. Before that, Jafar began his practice at a prominent Plaintiff’s personal injury law firm in Fresno, CA where he went head-to-head with large insurance companies, recovering large sums for his clients through settlements and gaining vital litigation and trial experience. Jafar has also successfully defended ride share companies in various claims and litigation, multi-national food and beverage companies in asbestos litigation and recovered significant sums in subrogation and indemnity claims. In addition to representing large corporations, Jafar has assisted small business owners with corporate formation, contract drafting and business disputes.
Jafar earned his Juris Doctor from the Delaware Law School at Widener University and B.A. from Penn State University. Jafar is a member of the National Arab American Bar Association and he is fluent in Arabic. Jafar grew up in the Philadelphia metropolitan area before completing and graduating high school in Amman, Jordan where he gained invaluable international perspective. When not zealously advocating for his clients, Jafar enjoys traveling with his family, playing basketball, coaching youth sports and volunteering at legal clinics.
