Greg Kabel has practiced law for over 34 years, focusing exclusively on the areas of Trusts and Estates, Probate, and Business Transactions. He began his legal career in Chicago at the national law firms of Mayor, Brown & Platt, as an associate, and then McDermott, Will & Emery, as partner. McDermott, Will & Emery has a nationally renowned Estate Planning practice and Greg worked with some of the best and most innovative attorneys in the country in the areas of Wealth Preservation and Estate Planning for both individuals and families.
For over 15 years, since relocating to Florida, Greg has continued his practice, focusing on personalized Estate Planning for both traditional and non-traditional couples and families, as well as for individuals and the businesses they may own.
Greg strongly believes that there is no such thing as a typical client. Each client comes with his or her own set of circumstances, challenges and goals. Greg helps his clients craft unique plans, designed to fit their individual needs, which may be as basic as a Will with Advance Directives, or more complex solutions, such as Dynastic Trusts, which preserve and protect wealth for future generations. Trusts for Probate Avoidance, Estate Tax Planning, IRA Planning and Special Needs Planning are also invaluable tools in the right circumstances. To round out the practice, Greg counsels clients with their Small Business Planning needs and with Probate and Trust Administration Services.
Greg attended Denison University where he earned a B.A., cum laude, in economics, graduating Phi Beta Kappa in 1980. After graduation, he moved to Chicago to attend the University of Chicago, first earning his M.B.A. from the Graduate School of Business in 1982 and later his J.D. from the Law School in 1987.
