After receiving his commission as an infantry officer in the U.S. Army, John completed Airborne School and Ranger School. Mr. Berry also attended the College of William & Mary in Williamsburg, Virginia, and Creighton University School of Law, where he graduated cum laude in 2003. John then went to study at the National Criminal Defense College at Mercer Law School in Macon, Georgia, John graduated in 2004.
Mr. Berry is passionate about fighting for the rights of his clients. Not only has he led successful teams in the courtroom, resulting in several jury trial victories, he has led soldiers in deployments to Iraq and Bosnia.
Founding attorney John Stevens Berry, Sr. has appeared in court in 24 states and two foreign countries. Mr. Berry is an aggressive criminal defense attorney whose goal it is to protect your rights and privacy. John Stevens Berry, Sr., holds degrees from Stanford University (B.A. 1960) and Northwestern University (J.D. 1965). He is a fellow of the American Board of Criminal Lawyers and past president of the Nebraska Criminal Defense Attorneys Association. John S. Berry Sr. is a decorated veteran, and a proud members of the National Organization of Veterans’ Advocates. He is the author of Those Gallant Men, a book about his first-hand experiences as a lawyer fighting for his clients in the combat zones of Vietnam.
