Schechter, Shaffer & Harris, LLP – About Us
What should you do if you are injured by slipping and falling on a sticky or damp floor at a mall, restaurant, or supermarket? Seek medical attention at once. You will need the paperwork created by that medical treatment if you bring a premises liability claim to recover compensation. To prevail with a premises liability claim, you will have to prove the property owner was negligent, which means you will need reliable legal advice and effective representation. Seek that advice and representation from a Houston premises liability lawyer at Schechter, Shaffer & Harris.
For workers on oil rigs, drilling platforms, commercial vessels, docks, and ports in this state, on-the-job injuries are common. If you are injured in a maritime or offshore job-related accident, contact a maritime injury attorney at Schechter, Shaffer & Harris as quickly as you can. Recreation on the water can also be hazardous, but if you’re injured while you aren’t working, you can’t receive workers’ comp benefits. If you are injured in any accident on the water because someone else was negligent, a maritime injury lawyer at Schechter, Shaffer & Harris can help you file a maritime injury claim or a personal injury claim to recover the compensation you need.
