Sheryl Herndon is the owner and founder of Herndon Law, P.C., a client-centered firm that specializes in General Estate Planning, Elder Law, Veterans Benefits, Estate and Trust Administration, Fiduciary Services, Long-Term Care and Medicaid Planning, and Guardianships and Conservatorships for Incapacitated Adults.
A Richmond native, Sheryl received her undergraduate degree from Virginia Tech (GO HOKIES!) and graduated cum laude from the University of Richmond’s T.C. Williams School of Law.
Owen received her undergraduate degree from Randolph-Macon Woman’s College in Lynchburg, VA where she majored in International Relations and attended school abroad at the University of Reading, England. She graduated from the University of Richmond’s T.C. Williams School of Law where she was a teacher’s assistant for legal research and writing and received the highest grade in her graduating class in Evidence.
After graduating from law school in 1991, Owen began her trial practice career by serving as an Assistant Commonwealth’s Attorney in Virginia for twenty years. Serving in turn as the Drug and Gun Prosecutor, the Domestic Violence Prosecutor, and the Major Crimes Special Prosecutor primarily responsible for highly publicized and complex cases, including embezzlement, rape, robbery, murder, Owen prosecuted cases of high caliber in all levels of state court. Owen received recognition from the FBI for her outstanding assistance in their gang investigations.
